Fallen
I am like a hungry child
that cannot be fed
A wounded lion with its
pain bared for all to see
And its pride shattered
I fell in too soon, too
quickly
And for once reveled in it
And let fantasy take the
lead
My foolish, romantic heart
One that believed
And hung onto every word
That was spoken to me
If only I had listened
twice as much as I spoke
I wouldn’t have been a fool
kept on display
For you my mistake, I paid
a high price
Fallen and broken you made
me
Down to bits
