You do not like my poems

You feel that they are depressing

And you hardly understand them

You do not like my poems

You feel they are filled with negativity

Which leaves you worried about me

You do not like my poems

You feel they are pieces of my broken self

Put on display for the world to see

You do not like my poems

Yet you seem to have the time to comment

Like and call to talk to me about it

But that's your opinion

I like my poems

I like the fact that it speaks to you

That it is relatable to a few

And appreciated by many

Whether for its rhymes

Or others

As long as it elicits emotions from you

My job is done

I like my poems

As it makes me happy

Tis a means of expression and release FOR ME
